Hi there!

I'm Jaco Bester — a Software Architect (whatever that really means). In simple terms, I use my 20+ years of experience in the IT world to earn money so I can pay bills and buy stuff for my hobbies. Yes, hobbies — lots of them.

But truth be told, all I really want is to be free — free to help others, help us, help society. I’m highly gifted, with a hint of ADHD. My mind keeps me constantly busy, bouncing between thoughts across all sorts of domains. Random stuff. Deep stuff. Sometimes useful stuff.

Moto: A problem is something that has a solution.

If a problem has no solution, then either:

You don’t yet have enough knowledge or skill, or

You don’t fully understand the problem yet.

This site is my outlet — a space where I share thoughts, ideas, and the occasional deep dive into one of my obsessions. Expect musings on tech, science, society, and the quirks of being human. Some posts are polished; others are half-baked — just like my experiments in the kitchen.

Whenever someone with ADHD says "focus," it could mean ~~two~~ three very different things. So I’ll just spell them out.

Things I find extremely interesting. These are topics that somehow get deeply lodged into my being. These are important things we need to solve as humans as they will have a deep impact on us all in the future.
